Adobe InDesign Photoshop Import Publisher Description

An updated Photoshop (.psd) import filter is now available for Adobe� InDesign� 1.5.2. This filter offers enhanced support for importing Adobe Photoshop� 6.0 (and earlier) files, including RGB, CMYK, LAB, Index, grayscale, and bitmap images. On import, InDesign 1.5.2 flattens the Photoshop image data, while leaving the original file untouched. The following settings are automatically included in the flattened image:

Image data stored in layers, grouped layers, layer sets, and hidden layers
Layer masks
Layer blending modes/ranges
Layer opacity
Layer effects
Adjustment layers
Composite transparency
Vector masks
Text layers
Patterns and styles
Alpha channels and paths, which by default are converted into editable InDesign clipping paths
